About Us

Our Founder, Becky Strub, grew up in Valdez, Alaska. She knows that owning and operating a business in the 49th state is not for the faint-hearted. It takes grit, dedication, persistence, and season after season of hard work—often times in harsh conditions. Living rural, Becky always noticed business owners who found ways to give back. And she wondered why no brand existed to promote Alaskan Owned business—especially one that residents would wear and support. So after having conversations with Alaskans from all over the state, she designed Alaskan Owned Apparel to reflect a shared sense of community. Becky believes the #AlaskanOwned story is an important one. Her plan now? To share it with the world!
